How can ZinsPlus pay such high yield?
Unlike traditional banks, UnitPlus does not retain any interest
margin. While many banks only pass on part of the interest
received from the European Central Bank (ECB) to customers,
ZinsPlus invests directly in the capital market in a portfolio
that tracks the performance of the short-term euro interest rate
(€STR). An ETF from BNP Paribas Asset Management is used for this
purpose. Another component of the return comes from the capital
market investment basket itself, which currently amounts to 0.20%
to 0.40% per year. This component of the return may vary depending
on market conditions and is not guaranteed. This allows an
interest rate return to be generated that is higher than the ECB’s
key interest rate.
This mechanism also eliminates expensive intermediate stages, and
the interest rate is closely aligned with what banks themselves
receive on the market. The €STR is calculated daily by the ECB and
is the benchmark interest rate for short-term deposits in the
eurozone.
ZinsPlus thus enables particularly transparent and competitive
interest rates – without the detours of traditional banking
models. You can also transfer your money in full to your
registered bank account at any time or invest it in other UnitPlus
portfolios, giving you complete flexibility at all times.
