What happens to my money if UnitPlus or one of the partners goes bankrupt?
In the event of insolvency of UnitPlus Business or one of our
partners, your invested company capital remains fully protected.
You retain access to your assets at all times and can make
withdrawals via the web interface.
Context: Company capital invested with UnitPlus Business is
considered special assets (Sondervermögen) and is therefore kept
and managed completely separately from the assets of UnitPlus and
our partners. This means that even in the event of insolvency of
UnitPlus or our partners, your capital remains protected – it does
not fall into the insolvency estate. This protects your company
capital even above the statutory deposit guarantee of €100,000.
This regulation is enshrined in law in the German Capital
Investment Code (Kapitalanlagegesetzbuch – KAGB) and is strictly
monitored by the Federal Financial Supervisory Authority
(Bundesanstalt für Finanzdienstleistungsaufsicht – BaFin) and our
custodian bank.
